Oh my goodness, life has been so busy lately! Planting for yourself is one thing, but planting for others? That’s a whole new adventure! Between sowing seeds, helping customers navigate the website, writing blogs, troubleshooting tech issues, and moving literal mountains of dirt to build new garden beds, it’s been a whirlwind. And let’s not forget my love for plants—there isn’t a single variety I don’t want to try! Managing my impulse to buy and experiment with them all has been a challenge, and it’s no wonder I’ve been a little quiet here lately.
Now, let me catch you up on everything happening!
This Saturday marks the first pick-up date for CSA members, and I couldn’t be more excited. I’m looking forward to reconnecting with familiar faces and meeting new ones. Thank you all for taking this leap with me—it means so much! The garden is thriving, with everything sprouting and transforming the space into something magical. As products become harvest-ready, I’ll update the shop, so keep an eye out for items moving from "Out of Stock" to available. CSA members, feel free to email me your preferences for the upcoming week’s share—your input is always welcome!
If you’re reading this and thinking about joining, good news—there are still a few CSA spots available!
I’m also thrilled to announce some fun summer events happening here at the farm. The first will be a “Make Your Own Bouquet and Herbal Tea” event. CSA members will get the first invitations, followed by announcements on social media. You’ll have the chance to choose from buckets of fresh flowers, herbs, and fillers to craft your own bouquet. Each stem will be individually priced, so you can create a small, delicate arrangement or a grand, lush one. Plus, I’ll have dried teas available for you to scoop and blend into your own delicious creations.
Keep an eye out for updates here on the website, as well as on Facebook and Instagram—I can’t wait to share these experiences with you!
Now, let me tell you about my delightful daily companions. The garden has been buzzing with new animals and all kinds of bees! I also have a few mischievous residents who provide endless entertainment. A curious robin follows me from bed to bed as I water, swooping in to snag worms and flying back to her nest in the nearby trees. She’s also a fan of my patio fountain, where I often catch her bathing and sipping water.
And then there’s the chipmunk—a fearless and comical character who shows no regard for my presence. He darts around the yard, fills his cheeks to capacity, and stakes his claim at the bird feeders, always just inches away from me. He’s got quite the routine, racing behind the hoop house with his treasures several times a day.
Stay tuned for photos—I can’t wait to share these little moments of joy with you!
Thanks for being here, and I hope to see you soon at the farm or one of our events. Let’s make this season one to remember! 🌱💐🐝
